Libraries

Libraries are “partial designs” that store reusable data within the server to be imported later into other designs. Libraries belong in two main categories: material and component. Material libraries allow you to create bespoke pavement material with custom subtypes and material properties. All other design parameters can be stored as a component library sorted and filtered by module e.g. Traffic, Design Properties, General Information, etc.

Configuring a Library

In order for a library to be importable, the library requires the current workspace be associated to it. In addition, the pertinent module must be set to active and contain the necessary data. Active modules are listed on the Library Management Page. Workspace associations are listed within the library editor.

On the bottom right hand of the page there is a save button. This will produce a prompt where you can choose which of the library’s modules are currently active. No changes made to the library will be made until the following prompt is resolved. Select the modules you wish to make active and press save.

Design Templates

Design templates are a special kind of library that allows you to use its property data as the defaults when creating a new design. Design templates can be created from the Libraries action menu item under Tenants.
